On June 21st, Indigenous Peoples’ Day in Canada, SeeChangeMakers talked with Jaime Black-Morsette about her recent project. It was a compilation of imagery, poetry, stories, Indigenous knowledge, and language. Jaime plus, her friend and colleague, KC Adams, gathered materials focused on the REDress project from various women. Again, the REDress Project was in response to the 100’s of missing Indigenous women, girls, two-spirited and transgender people.
In these upcoming videos, Jaime Black-Morsette will discuss her career beginnings, the book, some future ideas, and final thoughts.

Revisiting my experiences with the Red Dress Project
In the Fall of 2021, I went to Fairy Creek. I had a new (used) Volkswagen Camper van and I was on my first camping adventure with it. I had decided to visit the island. I wanted to understand and witness what was happening at Fairy Creek with the Land Defenders. Here, my first real emotional and real-life connection to the Red Dress Project took place. Here is the link to that story.
